Where Would You Rather Live? (Asking for a Friend...or Maybe Me)
Plus more books!
Hey lovelies!
So here I am, procrastinating on my latest manuscript (shocking, I know), and I got to thinking about something. As someone who spends way too much time crafting alien, fantasy, and paranormal romance worlds, I'm constantly daydreaming about the places I create. And honestly? Sometimes I catch myself wishing I could just pack a bag and move right into one of them.
I mean, think about it—wouldn't it be amazing to live in a world where your biggest problem isn't taxes or traffic, but whether your fae mate is going to sweep you off to the Summer Court or the Winter Court? Where instead of scrolling through dating apps, you might literally bump into a centuries-old vampire who's been waiting his whole immortal life just for you?
Don't even get me started on the magic systems! Forget struggling with technology that never works when you need it most. Imagine being able to heal with a touch, command fire with a whisper, or shift into your wolf form when someone cuts you off in traffic. (Okay, not that last one… maybe.)
And the romance? We're talking about worlds where "it's complicated" doesn't exist because soul bonds are a real thing, where your love interest will literally fight dragons for you (and probably win), and where the tension is so thick you could cut it with an enchanted blade.
As I'm building these worlds for my characters, I can't help but wonder which ones my readers would choose. The dark academia vibes of a magical university? A cozy witch town where everyone knows your business but also brings you casseroles? The dangerous allure of a vampire court where politics are deadly but the parties are to die for?
So spill the tea, my fellow book addicts—if you could step into any fantasy or paranormal romance world, where would you go? And more importantly, who would you want waiting for you when you got there?
And be sure to check out the books below before you go!
